Why open my own storefront?

Independent authors are much more than writers. We are entrepreneurs, marketers, accountants, and businesspersons. My story as an independent author is no different. In fact, I kept running into this same question over and over again that motivated me to start this. The question was simple: why am I simply making other companies rich?

To put it in other words, why would I sell my books only on the other major retailers and not have my own store that I have control over? Fast forward through a very steep learning curve and here we are: BookTorch Publishing, LLC operating in the lane of e-commerce! Not only will you find books on this website, but also my book inspired merchandise of various kinds—merchandise that will only keep growing in scope and type.

To clarify, I am not removing my books from the big stores. You can still buy it on Amazon, Apple, Google Play, and the others. In fact, if you want two-day shipping, you may want to use those platforms as I cannot support such a turnaround! 

If, however, you want exclusive merchandise not sold on the other retailers, special editions of the book, or to simply support a small business, shop away!
